AIRI Jewelry & Gallery Celebrates a Milestone with a NEW Storefront in Brookline, Massachusetts

AIRI Jewelry & Gallery Celebrates a Milestone with a NEW Storefront in Brookline, Massachusetts

BROOKLINE, MA | October 6, 2024 |  New Boston Store Location for AIRI Jewelry & Gallery

AIRI Jewelry & Gallery is celebrating the grand opening of a new storefront space located at 440 Harvard Street as part of Brookline's Project Pop-Up, a program designed to allow small businesses to test their products and services in a physical space within the community a few months at a time.

Brookline Town Administrator, Charles Carey, Economic Development Director Meredith Mooney, and members of the Select Board have been extremely supportive in welcoming these businesses into the community.

"Brookline is a place where things happen. It’s a place where people are innovative, it’s a place where businesses can come and get their start, it’s a place where the community supports people who come in from all walks of life, from all backgrounds, to ensure they have the opportunity to succeed here." - Charles Carey

Maya Alia, the opportunity to have a physical space to showcase her artisanal offerings marks a significant milestone for AIRI Jewelry & Gallery. Previously limited to shorter-term pop-up locations and online retail, AIRI’s handmade high-quality jewelry and artwork, along with painting workshops will now have a physical home.

"This tangible space will capture the essence of AIRI and, of course, be the perfect place for more unique jewelry finds and art-infused experiences.” - Maya Alia

Maya Alia is excited to be joined by the brand CandleLux, co-founded by Tammi and Lance McBrayer. CandleLux, the co-occupant of the pop-up space, provides a platform for individuals to craft their own custom-scented and self-embellished candles using organic soy wax, pure essential oils, and non-toxic fragrance oils. As highlighted by co-founders Tammi and Lance McBrayer, CandleLux promotes self-care and sensory exploration through the art of candle-making, aiming to inspire others to reconnect with themselves through fun and mindful activities.

The collaboration between AIRI Jewelry & Gallery and CandleLux represents a shared commitment to promoting wellness, creativity, and community within the heart of Brookline. Both brands aim to create unforgettable experiences for shoppers and workshop attendees, fostering a sense of togetherness. Noteworthy is the fact that all three owners identify as black-owned.

Looking to the future, Maya Alia is particularly optimistic about the potential for a permanent location for AIRI, where she can continue to share her artisanal creations with a broader audience.

The convergence of AIRI Jewelry & Gallery and CandleLux in the pop-up storefront marks a momentous occasion for both brands. As they embark on this exciting journey, they are poised to make a lasting impact within the Brookline community.
