Are there special care instructions?
Nope! Our jewelry is handmade with high-quality metal that are tarnish resistant and kind to the skin - so you can just focus on being you! Pro tip: If you do a lot of swimming in salt or chlorine water it is always a whole lot easier to remove your jewelry beforehand to avoid the need for special cleaning and polishing (and that is with all jewelry, even pure gold)
What is the difference between wire types?
Each wire type is guaranteed to be nickle-free, durable, and tarnish resistant. We provide different types based on peace of mind for those with sensitivities and color preference. Many people who have had a skin reaction to faux jewelry (skin turning green, raised bumps, etc.) are actually reacting to nickle contents that some manufacturers put in metal. And a smaller percentage of that widely-cast group of sensitive ears actually have a rare reaction to certain metals and feel safer with pure gold - hence the gold-filled wire option.
