Treat the mamas and motherly figures in your life to explore something fun and memorable. This Botanical Watercolor experience is fun-filled - from arranging your own floral bouquet to learning beginner-friendly watercolor techniques. You will create two floral-inspired watercolor pieces! We provide all the supplies and carnations you need to tap into your creative energy.
About the location:
Want to Sip or Snack on something while you paint? The Boston Public Market offers incredible food and drink options from local food vendors. BPM is an indoor, year-round marketplace that serves as the perfect hangout to shop, eat, and explore. It is right on the Orange or Green Line, and there is also a public parking garage with rates starting at $3.
With gentle guidance and direction from your instructor, you’ll learn the techniques and tools needed to create two watercolor-based artworks, while still having plenty of time to chat, laugh, and connect.
- A very balanced paint sesh that is playful and educational
- Creating your own floral arrangement as a prop for inspiration on your painting journey
- Painting with a few unconventional tools to have some fun with the versatility of watercolors
- Learning watercolor basics and brush techniques to optimize painting floral designs

Maya Alia, local artisan and Founder of AIRI, is a self-taught artist passionate about using art as a mindful practice. It has always served as her grounding element, opening channels for creativity and restoration. These workshops are a channel for her to share the restorative elements art can provide.
